Tips, limits & how this works

This tool sends your image and instruction to OpenAI's image-editing model, which redraws the image according to what you describe. Results are AI-generated interpretations, not pixel-precise edits — the overall composition usually stays close to the original, but exact details (text, faces, fine textures) may shift slightly even in areas you didn't ask to change.

Be specific for best results: "remove the background and replace it with plain white" works better than just "fix background." You can also click "Edit This Result Again" to keep refining the same image with another instruction.

Only upload images you have the right to edit and share. Requests that violate OpenAI's usage policies (for example, sexual content, real-person impersonation in misleading ways, or other disallowed content) will be rejected by their system, and this tool will show you that error rather than the edited image.

Image editing is powered by OpenAI's API and is subject to their usage policies. This tool is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.

About AI Image Editor

The AI Image Editor lets visitors upload a photo, describe the change they want in plain English, and get back an AI-edited version of that image — no design software needed. Typical uses include removing or replacing a background, changing the lighting or color mood, adding or removing objects, or restyling a photo entirely (for example, turning it into a painting). Results can be downloaded directly, and a generated result can be fed back in for another round of edits. This tool calls OpenAI's image-editing model directly and requires an OpenAI API key to be configured under AI Models settings — it is not available with an OpenRouter-only setup.
