If Reddit blocks direct access from this server (increasingly common for unauthenticated requests), the tool automatically falls back to a live web search for real Reddit threads, clearly labeled as such since upvote/comment counts aren't available that way. Optionally, turn on AI Content Opportunities to get suggested angles for content that could meaningfully add to or outrank what is already being discussed. For the most reliable results, create a free Reddit "script" app at reddit.com/prefs/apps and add its client ID and secret to this site's settings as reddit_client_id and reddit_client_secret; a Google Custom Search API key/CX (as google_cse_key/google_cse_cx) can also be added as a more robust fallback than the built-in web search.
